Pregnancy Diet: What to Eat in 9 Months | LHV Guide
I guide pregnant women daily on nutrition.
A good diet in pregnancy prevents anemia, gives baby a healthy weight, and makes delivery easier.
Here is a month-by-month pregnancy diet plan with Pakistani foods.
Tip #1: Eat 1 Extra Roti + Daal Daily for Baby's Growth
As a Certified LHV, I recommend 1 extra roti and daal daily from 4th month onwards.
This gives baby protein and calories for healthy weight gain and brain development.
Tip #2: Take Iron Rich Foods Like Palak and Kaleji
I tell all pregnant women in Multan to eat palak, kaleji, and chana weekly.
Iron prevents anemia which is very common in pregnancy and stops weakness and dizziness.
Tip #3: Drink 12 Glasses Water for Amniotic Fluid
As an LHV, I advise drinking 12 glasses of water daily during pregnancy.
Proper water level keeps amniotic fluid healthy and reduces swelling in hands and feet.
Tip #4: Eat 2 Dates Daily in 9th Month for Easy Delivery
I recommend 2 dates daily in the last month of pregnancy.
Tip #5: Avoid Papaya, Pineapple, and Uncooked Food
As a Certified LHV, I strictly advise avoiding papaya, pineapple, and kacha gosht/anda.
These can cause uterus contraction and increase risk of miscarriage, especially in first 3 months.
